Event recap 11/09: AI en data binnen Levenslang Leren

Together with VOV Lerend Netwerk and Groupe Epsilon asbl we had the pleasure of bringing together HR, L&D, and EdTech professionals for a full day of inspiration and connection around AI, data, and lifelong learning. We kicked off with a powerful keynote by Ulrich Petré on cultivating the joy of learning in the age of AI, a panel exploring personalization, measurement, VR, and the future of learning cultures, with Krista Rampelberg, Charles-Louis de Maere, Can-David Koycu, Bien Vanderstappen and Gilles Baudoux. In the afternoon, we had inspiring exchanges with EdTech startups and innovators showcasing tomorrow’s learning technologies and visited Hangar K A big thank you to all participants for your enthusiastic presence and curiosity, and to our speakers and partners for making this such an inspiring day.

In order to fuel that innovation our incubator will coach and support our startups as much as possible by :
- introducing them in our international network
- coach them by our partners in sales, finance, HR and other necessary skills to grow
- help them in finding a product-market fit

Our latest Edtech barometer shows that we are tracking 408 educational technology initiatives, including 373 commercial initiatives (356 Edtech, 7 hardware, and 10 big tech companies) and 35 projects.

Almost two thirds (205 companies) of the 356 Belgian Edtech companies mentioned above are in the start-up phase. 85 companies found a clear product-market fit and are scaling up. Lastly, 58 Edtech corporates – almost a sixth part of the Edtech ecosystem have already reached the big corporate status.

he total turnover of the Edtech sector based on the results of 65% of the (only Edtech) companies who shared their figures. Almost 70 percent of these companies have up to 1 million euros of turnover.
